EACEA review overall comments (Erasmus+ Key action 1 - Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees / EMJMD): "The proposed EMJMD offers an interesting multi- and inter-disciplinary academic programme in a very dynamic research area. The proposal is timely and well-structuring demonstrating significant contribution to the development of European High Education Area region. The consortium involves a number of non-educational associated partners which are engaged with the programme delivery and management in a variety of activities.

The Associate Partners from the whole vaccinology chain include SMEs, pharmaceutical organisations and large companies that cover all the different areas where graduate students can be employed. The industrial actors offer funding which strengthens the sustainibility of the programme beyong EU funding. The proposal addresses current needs of the society in preparing specialists in fundamental and applied aspects of vaccinology capable of continuing their career in academia or industry or healthcare sector.

The EMJMD consortium is comprised of strong academic teams with both experience in research and teaching of graduates with a large number of associated partners representing the major groups of stakeholders. The students will gain professional skills attending courses of all three consortium partners and practise at the best laboratories in Europe. Impact is anticipated in a realistic way at all levels. Networking activities can bring real employment opportunities. The project consortium has very good cooperation with third countries and its excellent EMJMD programme is well targeted to the Latin American countries."

Dear Visitor, welcome to the  LIVE family.png !

Welcome to the website of the "Leading International Vaccinology Education"

( LIVE ) programme!

LIVE is a two-year programme for talented and motivated students interested in multidisciplinary studies in Vaccinology.  It is a joint project betweenfive European universities, each one awarding a Master degree of excellent quality. Academic internationality is enriched by a worldwide network of 13 academic universities from Brazil, China, Europe and USA.      LIVE students are moving in at least three different countries during the programme. They improve two foreign languages, taking into account that English is the teaching language of the LIVE Master. LIVE programme provides students with an advanced understanding of Immunology, Infectiology, Vaccinology, but also legislation, health policy and humanities around vaccinology to prepare students for a professional international career, in big pharma vaccine manufacturers or in small and medium enterprises specialised in R&D of vaccines or in public organisations dealing with public health policy / clinic / research on vaccines. Graduates are also well prepared for doctorate research in Ph.D. programme funded by associated partners.

The LIVE Master is now recognized by the European Commission as an Erasmus+ Joint Master Degree Programme of "outstanding academic quality". This label allows the LIVE programme to annually grant a substantial number of scholarships for EU and non-EU students.

On this website, you will find information regarding the participating universities, the worldwide partnership, and the open mind of the LIVE family to positively impact on world human health, openly fostering research (VaxInEu Symposia) and education (MOOC) in vaccinology, the midterm meeting, the application procedure, the fees and the Alumni network.

LIVE family is a place where minds come in contact with one another, giving us memories to treasure and skills to speed up the process from vaccine discovery to its positive impact on world human health.

We cordially invite you to join our international LIVE family!
